Welcome to Avid Readers and Reviewers
of
Jacksonville. Our group originated in
August 2002 in
Jacksonville, Florida.
We began with only 5 members who are
women who love to READ!

Our desire to share & fellowship has
formed our group into a real
"Sisterhood."

Mission Statement

ARAROJAX Literary group has a goal to be very productive in supporting our African American Authors and their work.

As Reviewers we will give constructive feedback to the authors and publicist.

As Readers we will give our honest critique of the books we read, to enhance your curosity to also read these great novels.

As a Group we will also set an example of how a group of women can productively and positively exist with the "
drama" only being in what we read!

Fundamentals of Reading and Reviewing:

ARAROJAX....
Reading is essential! Authors put their creative dreams and fantasies on paper, and readers enjoy the adventure and escape and also the lessons learned through the story telling. Our club critiques the writings and then gives a valid response to the context to the authors and then to the readers. Please keep in mind that a bad story is a opinion and not a fact. Everyone has their own idea of what makes a book good. Most people find a particular authors style of writing and that is all they are interested in, others enjoy the variety and exposure that different genres and writing patterns deliver.
